Travel planning is fragmented. Reservations, itineraries, activities and expenses are spread across multiple apps, messages and platforms, creating friction, stress and poor organization for travelers.

With increasingly busy lifestyles, users lack a simple and reliable way to plan trips efficiently. This leads to missed information, budget overruns and a frustrating travel experience.

Appero centralizes everything travelers need in one place—helping them plan trips, stay organized and focus on enjoying their adventure.

Appero was designed to simplify the way people plan, organize and experience their trips.
The goal was to create a single digital space where travelers can manage everything related to their journeys—without friction, overload or unnecessary complexity.

The platform scope focuses on essential tools that support real travel behaviors, balancing flexibility with structure to ensure the experience remains intuitive, scalable and enjoyable as the product evolves.

The design process

This project was guided by a user-centered design process, combining UX methodology with real travel experiences to design a product that feels both functional and human.

Research & insights

Research focused on understanding how people currently plan trips, manage information and deal with unexpected changes while traveling.

Key insights

The UI design was crafted to feel calm, intuitive and travel-inspired—supporting planning and discovery without adding visual noise or unnecessary complexity.

Soft, neutral tones create a calm base, while subtle accent colors guide attention and reinforce actions without overwhelming the experience.

Clear, readable typography optimized for quick scanning and comfortable reading across the app.

Reusable components ensure consistency across trips, exploration and social features—creating a cohesive system that feels familiar and predictable.

Ilustrations
Used to add warmth and personality to the experience, reinforcing the emotional side of travel while keeping the interface light and approachable. Simple illustration style, friendly and travel-inspired. Soft shapes, limited color palette and lightweight details ensure illustrations complement the UI instead of overpowering it.
